Trinidad weather is slightly cooler than other Caribbean island groups owing to the proximity to the continental North American cold air systems. Clothing adequate for Trinidad weather includes lightweight or tropical, cottons all year round. Light raincoats are useful, since Trinidad weather has a wet season. Trinidad weather temperatures average around 20°C (68°F) during the winter season, and 30°C (86°F) during the summer. Trinidad weather presents a fairly high humidity, particularly in the summer.
